This morning, as I was praying, I was asking God about the violence that occurred in Boston yesterday. Well, I was planning to ask, when I started hearing him talk to me. (And when I say “hearing” I don’t always mean actual words, but more of a feeling that the things I am thinking come directly from that divine source.)

So here it is…

Now is the time for those of us who can…and do…believe in prayer and meditation to ANSWER THAT CALL. In order to counteract the negative energy in the world we MUST be putting positive energy out there, and to conquer the violence and negativity we must be on constant vigil to find the peace within ourselves. This is a call for Peace….but more than that it is a call for Love.

In today’s world we become so consumed with having THINGS we work at jobs that don’t fulfill our bliss, and we may or may not “like” what we do, but if it doesn’t serve our “soul” calling, it will leave us with an underlying stream of anxiety, depression, or anger. We want the best. We think we deserve the best. Yet, very few of us truly KNOW what that is for ourselves.  It is no wonder that people are critical of others, and angry and impatient. We are all of those things to ourselves! Now is the time for us to discover what truly matters. What makes your heart sing? What gives you such joy that you walk around with a smile on your face all the time? It is time to find these things out and learn to live in THAT world.

Go within and find the divine person who inhabits your body, and learn to love them, and forgive them, and then share that love with those around you. Do the things that you  have longed to do but have never had the time. Re-evaluate your priorities and see where you can make adjustments. Realize that on some basic level we are all divine creatures loved by our Creator, and loved equally. That we are all important!

And don’t be afraid! Most people think that hate is the opposite of Love, but FEAR is the opposite. Hate is just another form of fear.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”–John 14:27

And from Marianne Williamson’s “A Return to Love”:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
